Dr. Loretta Forlaw
Dr. Loretta Forlaw, PhD, RN, FACHE is an accomplished and engaging educator, leader, coach, and mentor. Her degrees include a PhD -The Catholic University of America, an MSN Degree -University of California, San Francisco, and a BSN-Pacific Lutheran University. She is retired from the Army Nurse Corps. She is an American Association of Healthcare Executives Fellow (FACHE) and is a member of Sigma, ANA, and AONE. She is a member and has committee responsibilities for the Council for Graduate Education in Nursing, Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the Central Florida Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Linda Gibson-Young
Dr. Linda Gibson-Young thrives on creativity and thinking outside the box. She is an Associate Professor with Auburn University and has rich experience mentoring and educating nursing students. She has a PhD in nursing, and is a family nurse practitioner and nurse educator. She began her nursing career at Children’s Health System in Birmingham and over the past 20 years, she has worked with schools of nursing in Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Her research interest focuses on home interventions aimed towards family management of childhood asthma and partnerships within the school system.
Dr. Gibson-Young has recognized issues facing the nursing profession as:
- Nurses have significant time challenges across the state in regards to family-work-life balance.
- Decreasing membership in professional organizations. She aims to increase participation of nurses, while identifying the constraints.
- Nurses are leaders, yet often fail to focus on leadership development.
